The community is roughly bounded by Interstate 15 to the east, Camino Santa Fe to the west, the Los Peñasquitos Canyon to the north and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar to the south. Compared to the rest of San Diego County, Mira Mesa has very low crime rates, which makes it a very attractive place to live. The median sales prices is around $600,000 with about 67% homeowners.
